Outdoor Details:

Beckettfield is situated 15km south west of Dublin. It is 3 acres in size. The campsite can accommodate up to 50 persons. The site and cottage are only used by one Group/Unit at a time. No showers. Open all year.

Indoor Details:

2 Bunkrooms (total 27 beds). Social area 1 kitchen, toilet. Only let to one Group/Unit at a time.

Activities:

Site suitable for Scout/Guide games. 500 acres of public wood right beside the site - suitable for wide games, orienteering etc. Dublin City is a bus ride away, Wicklow Mountains 15km, Blessington Water Sport Centre 1Okm.

Outdoor Details:

Larch Hill is the National Campsite of C.B.S.I. comprising of 80 acres and is surrounded by the natural amenities that will enhance your Scout activities. There is a toilet and shower block, religious facilities, tuck shop, wet weather shelter, campfire circle and ample car parking is . provided. A full time warden and voluntary service team (at weekends) are close at hand to help with your enquiries.

Indoor Details:

The Main House in open all year round and has accommodation and catering facilities for up to 60 people and is ideal for a Cub Pack Holiday, training courses and conferences. Alpha Lodge is a small self- contained unit, providing sleeping and catering facilities. Ideal for small groups of up to 15 people e.g. Venture Scouts.

Activities:

Set in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains and close to the start of the Wicklow Way, larch Hill is the ideal base for biking and bill walking. With notice (3 weeks), the following activities are available on site: Rock Climbing, Orienteering, Archery, lazer tag, Pioneering, Nature Trails, Treasure Hunts, Beaver and Cub Challenges.

Travel:

Larch Hill is 5kin from the Stena Sealink ferry port in Dun Laoghaire and 7km from Irish Fer;y port in Dublin. Dublin Airport is 10 km. Dublin Bus provide a regular service to within O.5km of the site, Bus No 47147A from Hawkins Street.

Indoor Details:

Glendale lodge is a timber cabin situated in the Glencree Valley. Accommodation consists of 24 beds in a 10-8-4-2 combination. The cabin has a dining roam/kitchen complete with a water boiler. four ring domestic cooker and refrigerator. Toilet facilities include a flush toilet and two showers. Cooking pots and utensils are provided but you need to bring cutlery. plates, mugs and sleeping bags.

Activities:

The cabin is an ideal base for Venture Scouts/Rangers on hillwalking, cycling expeditions in the Wicklow Mountains or for PIL training courses in the traditional Scout/Guide skills. The adjacent woodlands provide an ideal setting for such programme activities as exploring, hillwalking, nature study games.
